If you're looking for some motivational inspiration to get started on a new project, we love the straight-talking advice from Mel Robbins - renowned motivational speaker and best-selling author.
“The only solution is micro action……you don’t get to talk about your dreams until you can prove that you wake up every single damn day and push yourself to take one small action forward. If you can do that consistently for a month, then you can start talking about your dreams.”
The Hashtag turned 10 years old. Love them or hate them, if you’re in business then you need them as part of your social and digital marketing strategy.
· Hashtags enable you to:
· Build brand name recognition and engagement
· Target a very specific audience
· Monitor your reputation and then follow up with excellent customer service
· Keep an eye on your competition
· Hear what’s going on in your industry and be part of the conversation
· Promote special events, contests or deals
· You can even track the performance of your chosen hashtags to see which has performed the best
· You can ‘hold a conference’ whenever you want – to bring a topic to the table that needs to be brainstormed and get feedback from your target market.
Good ol’ Chris Messina for sharing his idea freely with us all!
“I had no interest in making money (directly) off hashtags. They are born of the Internet and should be owned by no one. The value and satisfaction I derive from seeing my funny little hack used as widely as it is today is valuable enough for me to be relieved that I had the foresight not to try to lock down this stupidly simple but effective idea. “
Inspired by the likes of Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg, we had our first proper walking meeting yesterday. We were so impressed! We felt so focused, inspired and creative and most importantly we achieved so much! Far more than if we’d been sitting around a table. The images show the inspiring beauty we saw on our travels.
Apparently walking meetings boost creativity output by 60%, increasing energy, focus and engagement. It helps that you don’t have any of the usual technological distractions of course. And increased blood flow actually helps you communicate your point more eloquently.
Sitting is the new smoking – so plenty of health benefits obviously including improvement in mood and sense of wellbeing.
We are of course so fortunate to have our studio located on the stunning Wild Atlantic Way but this is really worth a go even if you are smack bang in the centre of a metropolis. We’d highly recommend you give this a go for your next brainstorming session with a max of 4 people.
